HR-ease offers a highly flexible and scalable HR and
Benefits technology application as well as Specialty Insurance Products and
Benefits Administration Outsourcing. Susanne Gill founded HR Ease, Inc. in June of 2000. After building and selling a successful
multi-million dollar software-consulting firm, she looked for the next
challenging and emerging market need. Susanne viewed the Web as an ideal tool
to help streamline HR, payroll, and benefit administrative
functions—and save companies time and money. She recognized the need for a competitively
priced, well-designed employee self-service application. As a CPA and
successful businessperson, Susanne believes in a strong, financially based
company, characterized by steady growth with "Value" priced
products. She believes in building long-term relationships and continually
providing a high level of customer service, while providing quality products.
The HR-ease application was designed and built based
on the development and management teams’ significant experience with
various Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS) products (particularly
PeopleSoft). The initial design team
had previously custom built over four similar applications for customers
looking to bring their HRMS to the web.
The goal of so many companies who had purchased expensive HRMS system
was to recuperate the significant investment they made by deploying an
Employee Self Service (ESS) front to their applications. HR-ease has successfully designed a
flexible and scalable application that can easily web-enable an existing HRMS
or be the entire HRMS for a company. In June
2002, HR Ease added a partner, Mike Shea, formerly with Affinity
Holdings (dba BeneComm),
a firm that provided specialty insurance products and benefits administration
outsourcing services. Mike has held
various roles in the Insurance Industry, including as a Producer for Davis
Baldwin, is now the Vice President of Sales for HR Ease. While with Benecomm,
Mike decided to expanded services to include online web enrollment. After significant due diligence and
evaluation, HR-ease was selected to be the independent platform to be
distributed through the Agency distribution system where it could be private
labeled and sold on a wholesale basis.
After working together for a brief period, it was determined that Mike
should join HR Ease on a full time basis to bring his significant experience to
add specialty insurance products and benefits administration outsourcing to
